Theory that just popped into my mind:
Incredibly popular video hardware add-on is very dependent upon the
Amiga. Maker of said hardware wants to make "on-a-card" versions for other
computer platforms. Plans to essentially build video-related compontents of
the Amiga onto said card. Commodore gets wind and dries up the supply of
extra chips.
What do you folks think of my neat new conspiracy theory?
