Thanks Jim. This printer, Hewlett-Packard Deskjet, comes with both parallel and serial ports. I do use the parallel with my Amiga and IBM, but must use the serial with the Mac(or use a serial to parallel converter cable, which is what I do). I've just gotten this printer. I had an older version that prints b/w and it's been superb. Now I purchased this model that prints color but uses different driver. I think the problem is in the driver and I think a previous message from "jp in seattle" is pointing me in the right direction. ……..Thanks for the help…………Roger
