#New Xiphias PC Titles
Xiphias has announced two new titles in the Time Table of History series
for the PC are ready for delivery. Distributed by Compton's, the two new
titles are the TIME TABLE OF THE ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT and the TIME TABLE
OF BUSINESS, POLITICS AND MEDIA. The original title in the series, TIME
TABLE OF SCIENCE AND INNOVATION is available from Software Toolworks.
All titles in the series share a common interface design, derived from the
interface used on the CDTV version of the same products.
A historical Time Line with voiceover narration provides a political
context for searches, and allows specific date-range searching. Stories
are linked to special multimedia effects such as pictures, graphics and
animations, zoom-in maps, bibliographic references, etc. Key words and
"hot word" searches allow you to explore at the press of a button.
The TIME TABLE OF THE ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT contains over 4,200 original
stories that cover the most significant events in our global culture, from
the first cave paintings to today's computerized choreography and
animation.
The TIME TABLE OF BUSINESS, POLITICS AND MEDIA is packed with over 6,000
stories that trace the quest for wealth, power and knowledge through
history, from the Trojan Horse to Desert Storm.
