Peter, I've been raising a few here in Durham, NC for several years. They're quite easy to do – drill holes in Sweet gum or Oak logs, put in spawn impregnated dowls and seal with melted paraffin. Then you just leave them! (or maybe soak them in water for a day once each quarter). I haven't been too happy with the regularity of my harvest perhaps I should be soaking them more often. Mike
