Chris – i've played with Home Series:Landscape from Autodesk and found it incredibly slow, with interminable redraw after making additions/changes. it also has virtually no plant selection and no plant information. i reviewed more than 20 different software programs for gardeners and wrote an article for the March 92 National Gardening; it's been uploaded here into library 11 ("Softga.txt"). Take a glance through that; if you have more questions, please let me know and i can give you whatever other "hands-on" info about specific programs.
