I was saying that no more than 4096 colors can be seen on an Amiga
screen. You can only get 4096 colors on at once in HAM mode and you can't do
EXTRA_HALFBRITE in HAM mode.
The Amiga has only 4096 colors available, under any conditions, 16
bits of R, 16 bits of G and 16 bits of B totals 16x16x16=4096.
What the EXTRA_HALFBRITE mode does is double the number of colors
that can be seen on a non-HAM screen. So if you could normaly see 32 colors,
using EXTRA_HALFBRITE mode would allow you to see 64 colors…but those 64
colors come from the available pallette of 4096 colors.
