You need to be careful to not confuse the Toaster with an editor. The Toaster provides the ability to switch between video sources. It gives you digital video effects, character generator, paint box, etc. But the Toaster does NOT function as an editor. An editor is a VTR controller that lets you automate many of the tasks of editing. A simple cuts only editor from SONY will run you about $2K. But if you want an A/B roll editor, you'll have to spend a LOT more. There are also some editor packages available now that run on the Amiga, but I'm not familiar with them. Maybe somebody else here can help out in that area.
