IF your SCSI HD is already scsi formatted, don't worry about it. If it's not, then you DO have to worry about it. You'll need to hook it up to some computer (I don't think a Mac will work because I don't think it's true scsi format) that has a scsi controller and low level format the drive. In my case, the drive was low level formatted when I got it, but a track was damaged in transit. I needed to low level it again (scsi keeps it's own bad sector map). CBM didn't provide the necessary software with the 2090, so I connected the drive to a C Ltd controller on a 1000 and formatted it. Then stuck it back on the 2090 and ran prep then high level formatted it — it works fine.
