I am a non-Amiga-literate, 9-5, mid-life crisis type who is intrigued by the entrepreneurial potential of DTV. Am wondering what a low end, entry-level suite would cost. Can you get in for $15K? From hanging around the Amiga fora, following seems to be what is needed: Amiga 2000HD 1084S monitor NTSC monitor accelerator board (which is where I would splurge – considering 68030, 50MHZ, max RAM, with 210HD) Toaster 2 TBC's (Kitchen Sync?) Quality camcorder Quality output deck Quality portable tape recorder Assorted paraphenalia, mike, headphones, tripod, basic lighting, software, etc. What else? One of the big questions is format. Seems like the underlying rule is that the better the input, the better the finished product – which will probably be straight VHS. But, it's not clear if I should be thinking about working in Hi-8, SVHS, or BetaSP. If I found a good price on a Sony CCD-V5000, for example, would that fill the role as "quality camcorder?" Any replies, comments would be greatly appreciated. -John
