I would like to set up a (moderately) inexpensive Unix/X11r5 system on my 486/33. My plan is to get a basic Unix 386 file system from SCO or Interactive, then buy pre-compiled binaries for gcc and Xwindows from Austin Code works. I have no idea if this will work as planned, and I was a little disturbed to see the comments by SJ Vaughan-Nichols in the Feb 1992 Shopper (p. 674). Please give me your opinions. My system has two 210 MB IDE drives (one bought specifically for Unix) and 8 MB of RAM. I need to know if I will have linkable Xlib and drivers for at least 800*600 SVGA for Tseng 4000./EXIT
