Mark – As we've mentioned before (actually, as early as the Expo in Atlanta where OS/2 Release 10 was demonstrated!), Tech has been working on a dialogue manager that will permit AutoCAD to create dialogues using the native GUI of whatever platform it happens to be on: Desktop for Mac R11, Windows for Windows R11, and so on for all the R12 platforms. They had to create their own dialogue manager for DOS 386, and it's modeled after PM and Windows. There are no substantial changes to the tablet menu programming facilities of which I am aware. The standard AutoCAD tablet menu layout will change to accomodate new Release 12 features. I can't comment beyond that, but I do think you will like Release 12. I think you'll like it very much. But it's not Real Soon Now time yet.
