Scottv – What numbers are you talking about? The 70% number referenced here I think is based on data provided by a research firm called Daratech. They are based on dollar volume as provided by each vendor and I think are limited to the DOS platform. While you have a point that user volume might be a fairer measure of mind share, dollar volume tends to be a better measure what folks would rather use. The fact that they are willing to justify a $3500 software program to their purchsing department over say a $500 product suggests that this is many times (at least 500K) the case.
