The coprocessor was firmly seated and the bios did recognize it. I
increase RAM to 4 MB with no luck. I tried a plain vanilla boot-up with no
autoexec.bat and only files=40, buffers=20 in config.sys with no change in
symptoms. I tried DOS 5.0 without anything load high but no luck. I tried
using the older version of the DOS Extender by running through the OLDDX
procedure but no luck. I then tried it on a Espon 386/20 in MY office and
the same problem occurred. The processor chip has A80386DX-20 on it. Is
this the same as the B-step problem chips which have A80386-20 on them?
