Bill – I think your observation could be clarified a bit.
When you redefine a text style, existing text that references that style is
not redefined to reflect the new style's attributes, with the exception of
the font. That's how it works for all text, and that's how it was designed.
In this case, styles are used as creation templates, and not all attributes
of a text style remain associative with styles current attributes (e.g, the
width factor, slant, and non-zero height).
