New features in the Release 11 of AutoCAD for the Macintosh (ca. Dec 91): Advanced Modeling Extensions (AME) — AME gives AutoCAD the ability to build and analyze complex three-dimensional solid models. (Requires System 7 and 16Mb of RAM, part of which can be virtual.) New user interface — The AutoCAD interface has been enhanced to be more consistent with the Macintosh user's needs. In addition to changes in the menus and dialog boxes, a new feature — object grips — lets you quickly and easily redefine entities on screen. Expanded clipboard support — Now you can import art from other applications into AutoCAD, as well as export it. New Help facility — A stand-alone, hypertext On-Line Reference option on the Apple menu. AutoCAD Development System (ADS) support — You can run programs from applications developers or write your own. Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) digitizer support — ADB digitizers let you use the pointing device anywhere on screen, including menus, dialog boxes, and the graphics window. Autodesk Device Interface (ADI) drivers — You can use a range of ADI display drivers available from third-party manufacturers.
