I am looking for a plotting solution for an AEC client. He is currently using AutoCAD version 11.0/386 with Softsdesk's AutoArchitect. His files are quite large. When he plots a prespective view with hidden lines removed, some of the plots are taking up to 24 hours to hide the lines and generate the plot. I am currently evaluating few options myself. One of them is to create a DXB plot output, inserting in AutoCAD and than removing the hidden lines manualy (by the way this is what the people at AutoDesk recommended also). I am affraid this will be a very lengthy process. I am also looking at the possibility of creating a BMP (Windows Bit Mapped File), and then either plot it on a raster device or converting the file to a vector format to plot on a vector plotter. If any of you guys know of a better solution, please let me know. I really appreciate your anticipated responses. Again thank you.
