I'm seeing "random sprite garbage" with 1.2 also. I find the keyboard the best way to go, though it's still far from adequate. The plane is uncontrollable hell with the mouse, and very close to impossible with the joystick. I'm also disappointed with the graphics – the shading effects that they are using are reminiscent of trying to get more colors out of a 4-color PC. There are other graphic shortcuts as well – there's no parachuting in Falcon as in Interceptor and Jet, an effect that I enjoyed immensely in both games. However the potential is there to surpass either. The detail and gameply are, in theory, fabulous (hampered by controls.)
