Actually, Ron, there is a perfectly good reason for this. The people who make the rules don't want the harrasers to stop. THey want to wait for the phone company to develop a device they can sell you that will give you that information on a screen, and theability to program a get lost message for your "non-approved" callers. That way the phone company makes more money, their stocks go up and the rule makers get richer while helping the economy. In the long run it will be cheaper to get an unlisted number. (Terrible to have to pay to be left alone – isn't that like a protection racket???) wmc
