George, I assume you are refering to the V.fast standard which is currently in committee. Currently the committee is discussing speeds of 25Kbps or so with a multi dimensional trellis coding scheme. Many options have been discussed and I suspect many more will be before a draft proposal is finished. I suspect it will be close to a year before this occurs. Since V.fast is not defined, I can't say whether we can upgrade the SupraFAXModem V.32bis easily or not. I believe that any manufacturer that promises V.fast upgradability is making a promise they likely will not be able to keep. Alan
