As a hobby video is alot of fun, and you don't necessarily need alot of
equipment. The more the merrier but you can experiment with just about
anything. My first couple of production were made with a black and white
security camera that I… sort of liberated from a place I worked. In a
way, I miss those days. We never worried about lighting and shot with no
sync sound.
One comment I made still stands: get your hands on some trade pubs–AV
Video is a great one for your level (if you make up a company name you can
probably get it for free!).
