Generally with OS/2 if you want DOS session to continue operation in
the background, it must be in standard text mode, or the graphics
resolution must be 320×200. I believe if the DOS application is
written to talk to the OS/2 video drivers, it can run in a higher
resolution, but I don't believe 3DS is such an application. I would
suggest that if you are only wanting to render in the background,
switch your screen graphics resolution to 320×200 and turn off 3DS
rendering to the screen, render to a file instead.
