<<Opacity-mapped handwriting>> I too have found this very effective, but in an 'S', I've had the end appear before the opacity map revealed that portion. I suspect R3 texture blur may have "smoothed" between the beginning and the end, causing a few light pixels at the end of the map. Have you ever encountered this? I was thinking that a higher-res map and/or the hidden "texture-sharpen" parameter might clear up this glitch.
