Ana,
>> "got a 1.05 gig HD for $985!" (and the last is
true 🙂 <<
They paid too much you can get a Micorpolis 1.2GB for $749.00….of course it's
probably not going to be any good for Multimedia but that's the problem with
buying just on price….isn't it. <g>
>> Do you think that it will do so harm to the dealers community
here? << I don't know if It would…But that's not the point the
point is that I've felt more comfortable quoting List on the open
forum and letting everyone else work their deals out privately. It's
how Business is done…If your out at a coffee shop and you hear to
guys arguing about prices in public don't you think that that's
rather rude…especially when you may have invited a client with you
that was quoted higher by you just before you walked in. Get It!
Why should you be able to dictate prices in somebody elses deal?
Besides it's not as simple as just plain "PRICES" What kind of service
goes with that price…does the dealer really know his stuff? You
seem to forget that in business it's the perceived value that is
important. If you devalue the product and services of an entire
industry by distilling all the issues down to simply Price your
missing the value of the industry entirely. You write for a magazine
don't you? Suppose I said that I buy a paper every morning and it
only "costs" me 25 cents…now why should I pay $3.00 dollars for
your Mazazine when my paper only costs 25 cents. Same aggument! It
doesn't make sense. If someone wants to do business with Krazy
images on this forum but I come along and say "Hey….Your Paying
tooo Much" That automatically puts you in the position of having to
defend your pricing. NOW….You may be worth every penny of it but
how does this perspective client know that…You see I've brought in
the issue of "PRICE" Above all else! It's not really very fair or
really a very smart way to do business. There is such a thing as
Quality and Service as well as something else called Integrity. Try
to put a price on that!
I'm not sure that your "Price" Argument relates to listing dealers but I would
see no harm in listing dealers and authorizationa as long as there was no
pricing. Besides Prices change weekly…who the hell is gonna keep up with it?
