Yeah, I'm from JAPAN, where it's supposed to be high-tech, but actually everything is pretty low tech. Did you see the article on the horrible situation of the Internet in Japan in WIRED? Amiga is not very popular, except in video production. Amiga does have a hard time handling Japanese charachters. Commodore JAPAN is not doing much about it, most of the efforts are Voluntary efforts on the user side. I have no idea how big the community is, lets just say "small but enthusiastic." There is one TV program though, which is virtually an Amiga CG animation showcase. It has this live interaction with CG generated characters and living actors, totally incredible. Of course, they don't announce that those CGs are done by the Amiga, but the word is spreading (I hope). FYI, "NRI" is my company's name. I'm using their account.
