The 4000 (and especially the newly arriving 4000T, with lots of extra
slots) are considered the hottest Amiga items these days. But they
do cost big bucks, and more modest (or somewhat older) machines can
be obtained at bargain prices.
Everyone eats their heart out for newest and best, and rumors float
around regarding vapor-hardware such as the 5000 and the planned AAA
chip set. (Question; If Commodore finally dubbed the AA chipset the
AGA, will the AAA become the AGAGA?)
