I just mailed you via Email this message, but it was the meaning to put it in the forum as a public message. That's why I put it here again. Sorry for the extra work. ——————————————————————————– ——— Hello, I'm installing a EGS 28/24 Spectrum card in my Amiga 2000 (Rev.6.2) Configuration: Amiga 2000 Kickstart 2.04 (V37.175) ECS Agnus – 2Meg (installed Mega-Cip) STD Denise GForce '030/40/40/4 (so 4MB memory) ICD ADSCSI 2080 /w 4MB memory (scsi part is disabled) MultiVision 2000 flick-fixer. EGS 28/24 Spectrum. I have a connected the pass-through cable to the flicker-fixer and the EGS card. I have connected a NEC/MultiSync 3D monitor to the EGS card. SysInfo show the following under BOARDS: Board Address Board Size Board Type Product Manufacturer $00E90000 64K ZORRO II Series 2 SCSI GVP $00200000 2048K ZORRO II 1 2193 $00EA0000 64K ZORRO II 2 2193 $00600000 4096K ZORRO II ADRAM 2080 ICD $00EB0000 64K ZORRO II 1 ICD The memory (4MB) on the GForce030 is installed at address $01000000 (Extended Memory) 1) When I want to use the 4MB on the GForce as to be auto configured, AmigaDOS only reports 6MB total memory (GVP Info, 2MB Public Chip Local 24DMA and 4MB Public Fast 24DMA). I HAVE to install the 4MB 32bit memory as extendend when the EGS card is installed. The EGS 28/24 board has 2MB of memory onboard and it places it at address $00200000 But the memory is none addressable for application. Is this because I have a Amiga2000 with zorro II slots? Is the EGS board only able to put his memory above the 8MB range when installed in a zorro III slot (A3000/A4000)? 2) My system crashes a lot, when being in the Amiga Shell and doing some Dir commands after each other. I've removed everything which isn't necessary out of the startup-sequence. This is my startup-sequence: ; $VER: startup-sequence 38.22 (24.4.92) C:SetPatch QUIET ; setpatch version 40.14 Addbuffers >nil: df0: 20 Addbuffers >nil: df1: 20 Makedir ram:t ram:Clipboards ram:env ram:env/sys copy >nil: envarc: ram:env all noreq assign >nil: env: ram:env assign >nil: t: ram:t assign >nil: clips: ram:clipboards assign >nil: rexx: sys:rexxc assign >nil: printers: devs:printers assign >nil: keymaps: devs:keymaps assign >nil: locale: sys:locale mount >nil:devs:dosdrivers/~(#?.info) if exists devs:monitors list >nil: devs:monitors/~(#?.info) to t:m lformat "devs:monitors/%s" execute t:m delete >nil: t:m endif Setenv Workbench $Workbench Setenv Kickstart $Kickstart Unset Workbench Unset Kickstart ;BEGIN EGS stack 20000 c:gvpcpuctrl fastrom movessp ; I have an 68EC030 c:assign egs: HD0:egs c:assign libs: egs:libs add ; call EGS config program ; egs:c/nocachezorro3 >nil: ; Only for '040 I have a A2000 w/ '030 egs:c/egsconfig file egs:s/egs.config c:wait 1 secs ; END EGS IPrefs ConClip Path >nil: ram: c: sys:utilities sys:rexxc sys:system s: sys:prefs sys:tools sys:tools/commodities ;if exists s:user-startup ; execute s:user-startup ;endif loadwb endcli >nil: Nothing special, or is it. When I remove the ICD ADSCSI 2080 controller, I don't have the problem anymore. But then I only have 6MB of RAM instead of 10MB (2MB chip, 4MB 32bit, 4MB 24bit) Before I installed the EGS 28/24 board all was working well for about 5 years. The last thing I installed before the EGS board was the 2MB chip card (MegaChip) and that is installed for about half a year, without problems. What do you know about this? What can I do more the pin point the problem between (I guess) the ICD board and the EGS board? Is there anyone else, who is using a ICD ADSCSI 2080 controller together with an EGS board? Kind Regards, <<marc>> The Netherlands.
