If you're an educator, you can currently get an additional 25% discount from
Commodore. With the current $1295 price for CPU and monitor, that comes to
around $950. A colleague of mine, known for his reticence to spend any
money, couldn't stand it any longer and bought one Friday. If you teach at
any level (K-12 or college), ask you principle or department chair if he/she
has the forms. They were send to our department chair in enough quantity for
our entire faculty, though some of us (yours truely…) were smart enough to
buy our Amiga's some time ago (though at full price!).
