Sorry I didn't intend on sounding so austere, I just grabbed your
message out of this thread. I just thought that I would through my
two cents in. I know that they are not worth much, yet. <g> But,
know that you mention it I have read this entire thread.
>>Tip of the month: how to save money when buying memory? 🙂 It will
always be talk between users: "hey Ana, I have got one 16MB for $30
from blah, blah, blah" or "got a 1.05 gig HD for $985!" (and the last
is true :)<<ana
Yes, I do think this will create more traffic.
>>I can't see the wrong side of a
HD/Tape/MO/Memory/Tablets/misc.Software/etc. list in the harware
section of the forum<<ana
I don't have a problem with such a list, but I think Evan pretty much
summed up the prospects of such a list in his forum message #80020.
>>Post a message requesting prices on something, and have the
responses sent by private e-mail.<< Greg Pyros
I also think that keeping the price responses limited to e-mail is a
good policy. There always exceptions to every rule, but in general
wouldn't this be a good idea.
>>I have bought my Kodak ColorEase from a dealer that can support me
(or that's what I think <g>) when I need it because I have spend
$7,000 in the damn thing. But If I need to buy Painter I will buy it
throught the discount channel BECAUSE any dealer will give me support
in a program that cost $170<<ana
I agree completely. I purchased items like AG-7750, Ill-Pro and 3DS
from dealers that could and would offer support, but I purchased
items like mem., hds, DOS, Picture Publisher ……. at discount
prices.
And no, you don't have the poorest english in the world. If I
understand your messages # 80091 & #80415 correctly I think we agree
on most of these issues.
I happen to have an UltraStor 34f VLB FSCSI-2, a Diamond Viper VLB, a
486-66 DX2 cpu and a Turtle Beach Multisound sound card for sale, any
bidders <g> (e-mail of course).
