Mike, unfortunately with the ET4000 (w32,w32i,etc.) you cannot render
in a 3DS-slave session in OS/2. For some reason the ET4000-drivers do
not allow DOS-graphics applications to run in the background. Not
even the "/BGEXEC"-switch helps. In the Tseng mailbox you find beta
drivers for the ET4000/W32 chipsets. To my knowledge they don't
support background execution for graphic dos sessions yet. Maybe in
their final version. Background execution works fine with S3-graphic
adaptors – as long as you set the 3DS slave VGA. — tobias
