You fill your screen with noise as a demonstration of how horrible
interlacing can be with the wrong type of image.
Proposing that the system is just wonderful – so long as low-contrast images
are used is like saying that an automobile is just fine – as long as you
never drive it over 25 mph. I expect it to look good with ANY contrast
image at ANY resolution the manual states it will support. Sorry, but I'm a
little quirky that way.
The new monitors may do the trick – and I hear that one company is providing
an electronic buffer to de-jiggle the picture and output it to a multi-sync
monitor. So, there is hope – but what do I do with the monitor I have now ?
Target practice ?
