You are correct: KCS provides NO support for either IFF files or internal
Amiga voices. Porting a KCS file to IFF would require a conversion of some
sort, which means someone would have to write the program.
You mentioned SoundScape also. If you have a copy of SoundScape and enough
memory, you can tie SS to the MIDI input and KCS will treat the Amiga's
internal voices as "just another MIDI instrument". A bit indirect, but it
should work.
For patch editors, you might check with Dr. T's / Caged Artist's on their
patch editors… they should be shipping any day now. t
