John, I managed to access this forum, thanks for pointing out that I should do so. Quick recap: I've got Diamond Viper (BIOS 3.08, VPRMODE 2.04, DOS 6.2, EMM386 remmed out), AAPro runs with the VESA BIOS extension loaded as TSR (VPRMODE VESA is in my autoexec.bat). What I _can_ do is operate in any of the hi-res modes, what I _cannot_ do is switch between them correctly. An attempt to access the Screen Size menu while I'm working in any of the hi-res modes results in a scrambled picture of the dialog box (the one that lists the res options) At this point, the screen looks like several, horizontally shifted and enlarged images placed on top of each other. The cursor is working. If I move it beyond the top edge of the picture, it comes back at the bottom (I can go on and do it several times until I hit the screen limit). I can barely distinguish the features of the distorted Screen Size selection list. With a lot of effort I can manipulate the cursor and select the hardly visible option that I want (e.g. 800×600). Selecting this option (by double clicking, since it's not possible to find the OK button on the scrambled screen) clears the screen and from now on I can work properly in the desired res. The only situation when I _don't _ get the scrambled Screen Size dialog box is when I switch from the generic 320×200 to whatever. In this case, this dialog box looks perfectly OK. As I said before, it's a little bit annoying since you've got it running without problems under your Viper set up. My (rhetoric) question is: what's the remedy? As I understand AAPro is strictly a 256 color package, so I guess the 65K and 16M color modes are out of the question no matter what? Thanks for your help so far, Greg
