I just saw a short presentation of a product called "stereoCAD" from "stereoCAD,Inc." Sunnyvale California, tel 408-245-5201 fax -5202; w/ a 486 66 9,000 polygons per sec Pentium PC 17,000 polygons per sec Sun Sparc II 30,000 " " " " "Virtual Reality Technology," it allows the user to walk thru a wireframe in real time thru a 3D CAD model and also imports .DXF and .TGA. The goal is "avoid rendering delays" and make "walk throughs intuiive and simple." There is no shadow casting. There is instant animation and playback.I have not been able to stop thinking about this since i saw it, but I need to clarify what I saw. I wish it existed inside AutoCAD and 3D Studio.
