Still if we can help each other… The A1230 II does not have a SCSI I/F as standard, however it DOES have a 'custom feature adaptor' which enables you to connect a GVP A1291 SCSI I/F, which GVP claim is 'GVPs fastest SCSI controller yet' and features the following; DMA SCSI Design Faaast ROM Controller High Speed Unique DPRC Technology for direct HD to memory transfer. Mean huh? The advertised price over here is #79 so working on the normal exchange rates it's likely to be $79.
