Hi every in 3d land:
Well I just finished setting up my new Micron, you know installing
software and swaping cards with my old workstation not to mention
getting that darn Viper card to work in Vesa mode. Anyway I'll report
that Chevy.3ds renders in 2min 21secs, that is with the default
3ds.set file and output at 512×486 to my Targa+. How is that, I think
my 486dx 50mhz rendered it in about 4.5mins but I had changed the set
file and the Pharlab config a bit. Now all I need is lantastic 5.0
and I'll be one happy camper. I figure when I have my network up I
should be able to render big jobs about 2.5 to 3 times as fast then
my single 50. On another note I read the net.txt file (loved the part
about the network mangers) is there anymore info on setting up and
managing image files on a network?
