Rick, That sounds as if it would work, but Vic's class isn't that far along yet, so I don't know how to do that – YET! Besides, as Larry already stated, Keith uses his own Beep() routine, so it wouldn't work on Access! I have another term (Amic .58E, I think) that, when downloading is finished, sends three or four beeps in a row, which works very well. But my terminal of choice is Access!, and since I've paid the registration fee for it, I feel justified in asking questions, requesting certain features be added, etc., as long as it's not something outrageous. And Keith's presence here, on a regular basis, just makes it that much easier. Other programmers should be this accessible. (No pun intended.) MIKE
