Competition is usually a good thing. It is frequently the case that you
don't get good service and a quality product at a reasonable price until
there is competition. This isn't always true.
At some point, the amount of food available for a heard kills off some of
the weak. This actually serves to make the strong stronger, and the herd
healthier as a whole.
I suspect that in this case, the later applies more than the former.
PageStream will get better, not worse, than it would have been with the
continued competition. With more of the available dtp $$$ going to
Soft-Logik, they'll be able to invest more in development and support of
their product, and they'll be around in the Amiga market longer.
