Rob, I think the `kinetic energy' part is a transient thing. In all the
platforms and programs that I've used, various ones have gone broke,
leaped ahead, fallen behind and so on. There still seems to be an
incredible energy among a lot of developers.
There only two main things that annoy me, one is the insistence that
something is perfect and if it isn't, I've done something wrong. The
other is having the same people who slagged off at things like sound &
WYSIWYG systems now come with glistening eyes and hushed tones saying "I
can get …"
