Not to pick nits, but I've used networks to transfer files from machines
as far away as Australia and Switzerland.
That aside, use CrossDos to format Syquest or Bernoulli cartidges and to
read/write them in DOS format on the Amiga. PCs and Macs should both be
able to read/write that.
Alternately, I'm pretty sure that there is an implementation of tar that
would let you use tapes to transfer data between PCs and Amigas (it works
for Unix and Amiga), but I'm not sure whether there is a compatible tar
for Mac.
