Chris, << r2 versus r3 >> Are you able to get your video board/system to work correctly when in VESA mode? Are you using a memory manager that allows you to exclude regions of you memory for devices like your graphics card (cd-rom, scanner, sound card…) and you excluded them? Besides the improved rendering quality, the vastly improved materials editor, the emerging IPAS routines that will use many of the 200 new features found in R3, network rendering,.., the improvement in the one stop video configuration makes swapping cards on demand a breeze. IMHO…get R3 for all the new fun found there. jonas[adesk]
