#CAD Programs
I started with X-CAD in the early days when it was published by Taurus. It had
one of the worst manuals I have ever seen. I understand that it is better now
that it is published by another company, but once bitten.. After that, I used
UltraDesign, which was my favorite for 2D work. Very intuitive and easy to use.
Unfortunately, the color controls do not work on an A4000 and the program is no
longer supported. I have DynaCADD and while I have not used it much, so far I
have not had any problems. The manual for the first version was basically for
the PC, but the revised version is better. DynaCADD is a solid program similar
to AutoCAD & should work OK for you. With all the programs, I have usually had
some problems converting files back and forth, usually because the conversion
program wanted an earlier version of AutoCAD. I have always been able to
convert most of the file after some mucking about. Hope this helps.
