I typed an earlier message and mistakenly left in the "toolbox" file instead of videophile, then couldn't find it ther resend this and file it properly-disregard the other if you find it somewhere The output of my genlock is horrible, and Don Curtis said that you had left an earlier message (which I cannot find) telling of a resistor that can be removed in order to improve the genlock signal. If you would care to repeat that information for me I would greatly appreciate it. While I heard that the genlock was supposed to be an improvement over the native NTSC composite video from the Amiga, mine is even wor and white levels are boosted considerably. Also, colorburst, as seen on a scope, appears to be shifted down toward sync about 20 IRE. Neither one of my time base correctors even wants to recognize the genlock as a color signal, and passes it through as an apparently stable monochrome picutre. Finally, active video seems to be shifted to the right (or possibly blanking is outrageously wide), so that video black shows on the left side of the screen. Does any of this sound familiar? I have been able to get an acceptable picture by first laying the signal down on 3/4" tape, then passing that back through a TBC to correct the levelsbut this is not what I want to have to do if I can fix the genlock to get a good first generation image. If you do have a solution to these problems, feel free to get as technical as you want. If I can't understand what you are saying, I have access to television engineers who can. Thank you, Gene
