I think I'm just going to go with a stock commodore HD drive. The flopticals are nice but after buying the disk and the drive I could buy another scsi hard drive to use for backups. I'd just have to live with a slower disk drive. It seems weird to me why the chip manufacturers are bringing out 64 bit chips and the like if the external interfaces (ie: printer/modem/ide) are still 8 bit. Not even a Cal Trans Project on the 5 freeway can cause such a bottleneck. You mentioned you work for a dealer, which one, I'm always looking for more amiga dealers. I was also intersted in your opinion on fan placement in the 1200. I was thinking about putiing it buy the disk drive, blowing towards the front(over the csa board-sizzle), or cutting a hle towards the rear, under the disk drive so the fan will pull air through, or mounting it on the upper grills so it will pull air through the top and blow into the system(eliminating dust build up in the disk drive).
