Tis not that simple! Find me a terminal program that does what an ST does in
512K (that includes editable buffer) and I'd agree with you. The ST does a
whole lot more in 512K.
I'm -not- Amiga bashing. I'm happier now that I have my Amiga and will
expand it soon. But, it's not perfect everywhere – and a 512K machine is a
weak system, and expansion is expensive. I do know that once I actually do
that expansion, I'll have a much more powerful and capable computer. But I'm
not so sure about the Amiga as a computer for the average home user who is
NOT an enthusiast and needs a professional level word processor. I sure
wouldn't recommend an ST either – but I'd probably have to recommend a PC
clone. At 640K many programs are quite comfy for such use.
