Dale,
What Mac system do you run? If you are running System 7.x.y you may
need to check that your CD ROM driver is System 7 friendly. As I said, I use
FWB's CD ROM Toolkit driver and I've never had any crash problems.
As for Sound Manager, I have a version that came with a PD package, but
I don't recall what version. I've never actually used it much, but when I
tried it out it seemed to work OK. I'll check the version and perhaps can pass
that on next message.
