Not much difference between Sketch and Paint. Sketch runs a little faster, but neither mode has much to do with ray traced image characteristics that we know and love, ( no shadows, no reflections, no smoothing, no texture), other than shading. I guess I miss the point of the new mode (Sketch). The rest of the update has to do with a 'Tested' Frame buffer interface (minus driver) and a 'Simulated Tested' Frame controller interface (again, minus driver). It is reasonable that the drivers are not included because they are hardware dependent. Byte by Byte says the new version also fixed some bugs, but didn't mention what they were. It almost seems as though there might be some other reason for sending out the update, other than the stated ones, but I haven't a clue what else it could be. Or perhaps they are just anxious to present as good a product as they can. Still, it seems to be a lot of effort for not very much of a change in product.
