Per, you might want to look at something called "PS Tutor", which is billed as
a full PS interpreter which outputs interactively to a PC screen. It's
specifically for learning PS, not for production use (since it doesn't talk to
printers). From Lincoln & Co., (617)369-1441.
You didn't mention if you had a PostScript printer available for you. If you
don't, there are three software PostScript interpreters that I am aware of for
the PC, two of which are shipping. These are GoScript, from LaserGo, and a
product called Freedom Of Press. The latest GoScript is good, and I have read
positive reports about Freedom Of Press. QMS has announced a similar product
but will not be shipping it until late January (they say).
Publishers' Type Foundry, from ZSoft, enables you to design your own fonts,
including PostScript fonts, but it isn't a PostScript interpreter. I have never
used such tools on the Mac, but I find PTF a very powerful tool.
