I think your complaints are quite legitimate, and I think they'd require a call to EA, and persistance, to get fixed. Which is why WordPerfect Corp. is so wonderful – you don't have to beat their heads into the ground (much to the diagreement of what some feel.) However, I'm really wondering how much software is out there without bugs on that calibre. I mean, honestly! I think part of the problem is that we all own a computer with a very low share of the market, and people just don't have the money (from sales) to devote the attention that most products should get. I bet you could find a way to crash most any piece of software like that – if you used it to the degree and frequencey you use Dpaint. I can crash Access! 1.30a and Amic. There's something to familiarity and frequency of use that makes us see and feel bugs quickly. Again, I'm not "excusing" or "brushing aside" (no pun intended) the very real problems you describe. But, I think there's more to it than people being lazy, devious people who want to crash your computer when you least expect it. Not many people really believe what I"ve just said, but when the "flames are on" and rationality goes out the window, hyperbole and exaggeration can create the impressions I'm talking about.
