First of all, I'm in the minority (which is nothing unusual.) But I'm
new to the Amiga and suspect that 1.2 must've had some really poor printer
drivers, because I haven't been impressed with 1.3 at all. But the only
thing I've seen with 1.3 is ProWrite, so I'm not sure what's at fault..
There are still "scan lines" or "venetian blind effects" with some 9 pin
printers. It's not that bad, but, again, I've seen better (with Publishing
Partner ST or C64 GEOS). The letters just aren't formed as well, or as
carefully as I've seen with some of the other products. Now, I will admit,
that the other products (non-Amiga) can take up to 40 minutes to print 1
page. They pass over each line about 4 times in "final quality" mode. But
that should still be an option with ProWrite.
