Yes, I realize that the venetian blinds syndrome is a problem that's plagued printers of all sorts for quite awhile. However, with 3 programs right off the bat, I don't see that effect on 3 printers. The 3 programs are GEOWrite (and GEOPublish for the C64), TypeSetter for the 8 bit Atari, and Publishing Partner ST. The 3 printers are a Citizen MSP20, an Epson FX85, and a Panasonic 1080i. Fiddling with the settings on ProWrite, I could not get the effect to not show up. I didn't try some of the things that the fellow from New Horizons recommended to me (smoothing especially). But, after what I experimented with a for about 2 hours the other night, something still isn't up to snuff, in my opinion. Either ProWrite or the much vaunted WB 1.3 Epson 9 pin printer driver.
